Unique Breweries in Denver, Colorado
It's no secret that the Denver brewery scene has been exploding the past few years. There are hundreds of microbreweries just in the Denver metro area. Every brewery has their own unique spins on different types of beers, and you can be sure to find something new everywhere you go. I have photographed many different breweries around the Denver area. Here are a few of the breweries that really stuck out to me, and the featured beers you have to try!
DOS LUCES BREWERY
Dos Luces Brewery off of South Broadway serves Pre-Columbian North and South America traditional style beer made from ancient corn called Chica and Pulque. All of the beers are gluten-free and you wouldn't even be able to tell! My favorite was the Mango Chile. Hang out in their open aired ZΓ³calo and be transported to South America! The brewery is definitely instagram-worthy and has the perfect light for food and beverage photography. Be sure to get a few glamour shots of your beers!
LADY JUSTICE BREWING CO.
Lady Justice Brewing is located in Aurora, CO off of Colfax Avenue. It is an LGBT women owned brewery that supports many different non-profits with their proceeds. The culture at Lady Justice isnβt just about beer, it is about inclusion and equality. Everyone is welcome, and the clientele is the most diverse I have seen in the city. Also, the beer is pretty tasty too! Stop on over and take some photos with their colorful mural.
ο»ΏWOODS BOSS BREWING CO.
Woods Boss Brewing Company is located in the Five Points neighborhood, but you really feel like you've been transported to a mountain lodge in Aspen! The vibe is very laid back with live music, leather couches, and lots of wooden log tables and games to play. It made for an easy backdrop for brewery photography. The beer is also pretty delicious. Try the Fruity Flash for a pleasant surprise!
CERVECERIA COLORADO
Cerveceria Colorado has a vibrant and eclectic vibe, and is one of my favorites! It's the sister brewery of Denver Beer Co. located off of Platte Street near I-25. I especially loved the outdoor patio with the colorful pillows, painted tree stumps for tables and murals on the walls. All of the beers are delicious, so I suggest ordering a flight to try a variety!
DIEBOLT BREWING COMPANY
Diebolt Brewing Company is a hidden neighborhood spot in LoHi that is perfect for an after work beer. The vibe is very laid back, and they have every beer that you can imagine! My favorite was the Make Hay While The Sun Shines, a Petite French Saison.
PROST BREWING CO.
Prost is a German-style brewery with an outdoor and indoor biergarten. They pride themselves on creating the finest quality German beers using ingredients directly from Germany and traditional techniques. And yes, some beers are served in a German-style mug! Try their Dunkel or the Weissbier.
Now I know that these are just a few of the hundreds of breweries that are located in the Denver area. If you are at one of them, pick up the Denver Beer Trail that highlights over 40 local breweries and their featured beers. Try going to a different one every time to experience them all!
