Event Photography at the Gaylord Rockies Resort
Events are back in full force this summer, and I just photographed my first event at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado. The new resort is massive and perfect for large conferences. This conference was a 4 day annual meeting for Sphere 1 with over 800 attendees. The first day I did professional headshots for the board members and staff in one of the meeting rooms. Later that evening I photographed the welcome reception. The event space at the Gaylord was beautiful with mountain views and natural light, which made for some really nice photos.
The Gaylord Rockies Convention Center is a Marriott hotel that is designed to host anything from small corporate meetings to large awards dinners and trade shows. There are a large amount of smaller meeting rooms and also many different large ballrooms to choose from. The Convention Center spans three floors of event space. It is the perfect place for an event. The staff was very friendly did an amazing job making everything run smoothly. The space looked stunning for the awards dinner and was really fun to photograph. The best part of photographing events is capturing the unique ambiance and the lively reaction of the guests.
The Gaylord Rockies also has a five star resort attached to the convention center. Guests can dine in many different restaurants, relax and get a massage at the spa, lounge by the pool and lazy river, slide down the waterslide and shop in the gift shop. Everything you need is there in one spot! It’s great for families and corporate events. The resort also hosts family friendly events during the holidays to entertain the kids.
