Denver Food and Beverage Photography
Having vibrant food and beverage photography for your restaurant is essential. A photograph is powerful and can literally make your mouth water. This is why I love creating strong imagery for restaurants, breweries and bars. Mama Lolita’s is a new upscale Mexican restaurant in Broomfield, Colorado. The restaurant was designed by a very talented interior designer, Eli Hariton at TVL Creative. When you enter Mama Lolita’s, you instantly feel like you are on vacation. The beautiful and lush atmosphere relaxes you and melts your cares away. It was so much fun to photograph.
After you settle into the restaurant, you will be presently surprised by their menu. All of the food was unique, delicious and stunning. Try the shishito peppers and the taco bar. Chef Joe Mazzocco brings authentic flavors to the table, and you won’t be disappointed.
An important tip for food photography is to have great natural light. Food does not look appetizing under yellow or fluorescent lighting. Photograph your food and beverages on a table near a window. Make sure the presentation is perfect and try different angles that highlight certain ingredients in the dish. Also, photograph food and cocktails together to give the customer a feel of the whole dining experience.
When photographing a restaurant, I always like to take some action shots to show the atmosphere. These shots are best when you have some people blurred out in the image. It shows a busy scene that is also inviting. Having photos of the interior of your restaurant on your website is important. This allows your customers to visualize the experience they will have there. The atmosphere is just as special as the food and beverages.
Overall, restaurant photography is one of my favorite types of photography. The restaurant industry is very competitive. If you want to stand out against your competitors, then having beautiful images of your dishes and cocktails is the perfect place to start. Customers are always online and on social media.
